Tree Week
2nd Class have been very busy over the last few weeks.
We celebrated Tree Week by looking at the trees on the school grounds. We estimated how tall and wide the trees were and the children have become very good at identifying different trees from all the clues they can find!
Visit to IMMA
We went on a great trip to IMMA where we saw two new exhibitions and did a workshop. The children made their own art based on the themes of home and community. We also enjoyed the walled garden after! Have a look through our gallery of pictures from our visit.
Easter Art including Easter Baking
This week the class enjoyed making Easter baskets, nests and chicks. We made chocolate nests using rice krispies and Lindor dark chocolate. We made Easter baskets from paper, with layered shredded paper at the bottom. Each child then make an Easter chick. The baskets then got some eggs added to them.
Seed Planting with David
This week 2nd Class planted seeds with Luke's dad David. We are looking forward to hopefully seeing little shoots when we come back from the holidays. Anna
