Best wishes to Liz on her retirement
Last Friday, we said farewell to Liz Kalusche as she officially begins a well-earned retirement after almost 20 years of service to our school community. Liz has been a steady and nurturing presence, in the junior classes and in the 1.30pm Club, always offering her time, care and support to students. Her kindness and calmness have had a lasting impact on many children during her time here in RETNS.
Liz’s creativity has also left its mark on our school. Her crafting talents have brought colour and joy to classrooms, and her beautifully handmade costumes for Winterfest have added an extra touch of magic to every performance.
Above all, Liz’s love for her work shone through each and every day. We shared a very special assembly with Liz and her family celebrating her and her amazing dedication to our school.
2nd Class sang “Rainbow”, SI sang “You’ve got a friend in me” and the whole school sang “Everyone belongs” which is our school song. The children gave her some very well thought out presents, including a compliments box and a wreath made up of pompoms made by children in 3rd class.
As she begins this exciting new chapter, we all send her our deepest thanks and very best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement.
