Halloween is about having fun, dressing up and trick or treating. Be ‘spooky smart’ this Halloween and follow Garda Niall’s advice.
If you dress up in dark clothes, add reflective material so you can be seen by motorists and cyclists. Use the Safe Cross Code when crossing roads.
As well as stressing the dangers of fireworks, the talk included general tips for staying safe this Halloween.
Keep away from bonfires, which often collapse or explode without warning. Keep your pets indoors as they don’t like the sound of fireworks.
