Fifth Class have been having a very busy time lately. On top of all their regular school work they have been practising hard for the National Children’s Choir and recently attended a joint rehearsal with three other schools in St. Attracta’s in Meadowbrook.

They also had a lot of fun this week baking and decorating Gingerbread Houses. It was a three day activity!

On Day 1, with the help of a team of volunteer parents they rolled and shaped the dough, baked it and left it to cool.

On Day 2 they constructed their houses with the help of a lot of patience and sticky icing, then decorating them with a wide assortment of sweets and chocolates.

On Day 3 their masterpieces were professionally wrapped by a team of parents in cellophane wrapping with ribbons. They were a sight to behold!!
