There was a great buzz around the school on Friday as we officially marked the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the opening of our school. The day belonged to the children, with an opportunity to showcase their work in the morning followed by a fabulous Choir Performance from our Fifth and Sixth Class choirs, who were joined for part of the performance by our Fourth Class Peace Proms choir. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Garda Band performance which delighted children, staff and parents equally. The day was also ‘Odd Sock Day’ designed to symbolise each child’s uniqueness and individuality while also asking everyone to celebrate the uniqueness of others.

Later in the evening we had a very enjoyable adult celebration attended by many past pupils, staff and parents, including many who were involved at the opening of the school, as well as our current school community and friends of RETNS. It was a night of memories and IMG_0509 reminiscing as well as meeting old friends and catching up with people who shared some of the journey of our school. Everyone who attended agreed that the night was very enjoyable and a fitting tribute to a school that has gone from strength to strength despite a difficult beginning all those years ago.
