Our school did a spelling bee. It was fun. Everybody who battled it out did extremely well. It was tight but our school spelling bee’s champion was Maeve Kalusche from 6th class. Maeve went on, to the Dublin County final. Maeve did very well. The killer word was rhythm.
The atmosphere of the county final was very tense. There were 92 contestants participating. In every round the words got harder and harder.
In each round the words were not always of equal content.
We wish luck to our next year’s school champion and hope they will have the fun that we had.
