All year 5th class have been working on our ‘Learning Logs!’

Our Learning Logs are where we can record everything we learn each week and we can present it in our Learning Logs whatever way we like!

We did a new entry in our Learning Logs every Thursday. We wrote about anything new that we learnt that week.

Now I will tell you a bit about my three favourite pages in my Learning log and why I like them so much!

Page 1~Nutrition

This was the very first entry I made in my learning log.

What was it about?

At the beginning of the year our class got to be on a television show called ‘News2Day.’

The episode was all about nutrition. A nutritionist called Elsa came in to talk to us about nutrition.

To follow up on this, in class we all chose an exotic fruit to research and draw a picture of! I did the Sharon Fruit!

Why do I like this page?

I like this page because it is full of colour! I was very happy with how my drawing of the Sharon Fruit looked and I glued it into my learning log.

Page 2~The Romans

Another of my favourites is the third and fourth pages I did on ‘The Romans.’ This is the second entry I made in my Learning Log.

What is it about?

In school we did projects 0n ‘The Romans.’ We were put into groups and together we made a power-point presentation using all our research we did for homework.

Why do I like this page?

I like these pages because of the drawings and pop out facts. The pop out facts took a long time to write, cut out and stick on, I also like it because I put a lot of effort into the piece on ‘The Romans.’

Page 3~Just One

My final favourite page is page 1 of my work on Just One.

What is it about?

In October we had a visit from some representatives of a charity called Just One. This is a charity based in Nepal, who helps children and their family’s living on the streets of Nepal.

Why do I like this page?

I like this page because of the little Nepalese flag I made and put at the bottom of the page. This took a while to make. I made it out of a cocktail stick and some paper which I coloured in with marker to look like the Nepalese flag.

Overall I really enjoyed working on my Learning Log through-out the year!
