We were delighted to welcome Audrey from Dogs Trust to our school assembly this morning. Audrey spoke to the children about how to safely approach a dog, ensuring that they have asked permission first, how to make a safe hand to reassure the dog before stoking and what to do if they are scared of a dog they meet. She then met the Student Council who presented her with a cheque for €710 which was raised at our talent show last term. Audrey was very grateful for the donation and told the children how the money would be spent. She presented the school with a certificate to acknowledge the generous contribution raised by the children.
