In Fifth class we have learning logs where we write paragraphs about activities we have done over the past year. We are allowed to draw and make pop-ups to decorate what we have written.

Peacock Art

I wrote about this art lesson in my Learning Log because I thought it was very fun. We had separate tables for painting and using the pastels. I painted mine. I used blue, green, black and white. I’m sure I enjoyed it as much as everyone else did.

Gingerbread Houses

I wrote about this lesson in my Learning Log because I thought it was brilliant fun. We made our houses out of dough and sweets to decorate. The first thing we did on Monday was cutting out the shapes to make the house. On Wednesday we started to build the house. We used icing to stick the dough together. When we had finished that we used the icing to stick the sweets on to decorate the house. It was delicious!

Molly’s lesson

I wrote about this lesson in my Learning Log because I thought it was very fun and interesting. Molly did her lesson on Claude Monet, an impressionist artist. We learned about Claude’s life and what impressionism is. After Molly had finished the learning part of her lesson we did some impressionist painting. Molly laid flowers on each table so we could paint them. I painted a red flower. It was very fun.
